《当代社会科学（英文）》期刊简介

《当代社会科学（英文）》是由四川省社会科学院主管主办的英文学术期刊。该刊于2016年3月获国家新闻出版广电总局批准创办，是全国第一本由地方社科系统主办的英文学术期刊，填补了全国地方社科院英文社会科学类学术期刊的空白。该刊严格按照国家新闻出版广电总局的要求，坚持正确的办刊方向，刊载我国社会科学领域优秀研究成果，同时反映海外关于中国西部发展以及中国改革开放的优秀研究成果，促进我国学术研究成果“走出去”，提升中国在社会科学领域的国际学术话语权。

《当代社会科学（英文）》主要面向国内外知名学者约稿，进行前沿的、开放性的学术探讨；注重国外汉学家的中国研究新成果，回应国外学者对中国问题的关切；坚持问题导向，重视交叉学科，寻找真正的学术问题和新的学科增长点；高度重视哲学社会科学基础理论研究和中华优秀传统文化的传承弘扬研究，并侧重向国际社会展示“一带一路”“南方丝绸之路”“中华优秀传统文化”“生态环保”“中国西部大开发”等中国话题的最新研究成果，搭建中外哲学社会科学交流的学术平台。

《当代社会科学（英文）》聘请中国社科院、全国地方社科院、国内高校、党校知名专家以及哈佛大学、剑桥大学、牛津大学等国外著名汉学家担任编委，聘请中英文俱佳的学者担任审读专家。

《当代社会科学（英文）》于2016年10月出版创刊号，之后按国家新闻出版广电总局对双月刊期刊的要求正常出版，一年6期，逢单月出版。

A Brief Introduction to Contemporary Social Sciences

Contemporary Social Sciences is an English language, bimonthly periodical founded by Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences and approved in March, 2016 by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China. This is the only English language periodical sponsored by a local Chinese academy of social sciences. In accordance with the requirements of the State Press and Publication Administration of Radio, Film and Television, this periodical will publish outstanding research achievements in the field of social sciences in China, reflect the excellent research results in the development of Western China and China’s reform and opening-up, promote the academic achievements supporting China’s “going global”, and enhance China’s international discourse in the field of social sciences.

Contemporary Social Sciences invites prestigious scholars at home and abroad for their contributions to cutting-edge and open academic discussions. It focuses on new research regarding China by foreign sinologists, responds to concerns about Chinese issues from foreign scholars and values issues concerning the heritage and spreading of traditional Chinese culture by presenting the latest research achievements on Chinese political and economic topics such as “the Belt and Road”, “the Southern Silk Road”, “Excellent Chinese Traditional Culture”, “Ecological Environmental Protections” and “China’s Western Development”. 

Contemporary Social Sciences engages prominent experts to join the editorial board. Board members are from Chinese Academies of Social Sciences, universities and Party schools nationwide and include outstanding sinologists from Harvard University, Cambridge University, and Oxford University.
